Mara Cobb earned her M.A. in English from Indiana University in 2023. Mara has worked with high school seniors and pre-medical students on their college applications since 2020. She also works as a literary manager with Martin Literary Management where she works to champion the stories of the authors she partners with.

“I enjoy learning students’ stories. It can feel daunting to start out with a blank page, and I love making that process a bit less anxiety-inducing. By asking guiding questions and getting to know each student’s individual interests and what brings them joy, it’s much easier to turn a blank page into a well-developed draft. The editing process also excites me—it’s so fun to compare a first draft to a last draft and see how far a student has come!”
