Jennifer Lund

EDUCATIONAL CONSULTANT

“My experience working with Jennifer has been absolutely wonderful. Throughout the entire process, Jennifer was invested in my success, and I could see that she truly cared about my journey. She was clearly very knowledgeable about the admissions process in every detail, such as the BS/MD programs that I applied to. Because of her help, I was able to get into the college that has been my dream since 3rd grade, and that has an acceptance rate of 5%.”

—Former Student, Class of 2023

Jennifer's innate curiosity drives her quest to understand the special and unique gifts each student possesses. She enjoys working closely with students to ensure they maximize their potential as they navigate their individual paths to college.

"My background as a scientist informs my process with my students; my strength is gathering data, thorough research, and communicating my knowledge base. I work to 'leave no stone unturned' during your student's college journey, whether recommending a terrific summer program, suggesting a unique interdisciplinary major, or discussing college choices they may not have considered. My goal is to create a trusting partnership with your student and your family to understand and assist with finding the best fit for all aspects of their future: activities, major, college, and career."

"The college process can be confusing and stressful; I work to assuage that anxiety by helping your student stay organized with a clear timeline and goals. My favorite part of the process is getting to know your student: their interests, priorities, and the stories that have shaped them into unique individuals. I consider my role to be a concierge, guiding your student through a fun and insightful process."

After receiving a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Illinois, Urbana, Jennifer worked for many years as a Research and Development Scientist at Abbott Laboratories. She is a published author in three virological scientific journals. She pivoted her interest to education and advocacy during the time she spent as a stay-at-home mom to her special-needs son, eventually serving as a school board member and as a member of her local high school's college/career team before moving into private college consulting. With over twelve years of experience advising families about the college admissions process, Jennifer provides structured and timely guidance throughout the college journey. Jennifer's favorite activities are taking her beagle to the dog park, baking, and spending time with her two adult children—both computer science grads!—and her husband.

"Jennifer gave us exactly what we needed. She gently guided our son through the entire process with such compassion, experience and knowledge which allowed us to support him as parents instead of worry about his deadlines and choices."
