Chelsea Kent, M.Ed.
COLLEGE MATCHPOINT ESSAY COACH
Chelsea is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Teacher Learning, Research and Practice program and the Literacy Studies program with the University of Colorado, Boulder's School of Education. Chelsea has designed and facilitated writing workshops for The School of the New York Times where she supported students through the college essay and application process. Chelsea has also been a secondary English language Arts teacher.
“What I love most about supporting students in the college essay writing process is that I get to help them share their stories in ways that are most meaningful and authentic to who they are. For me, guiding students through the college essay writing process consists of far more than simply supporting them with their writing. This work is heart-centered, and it allows me to cultivate a humanizing space where students can exercise their creativity, engage in deep introspection, and be proud of who they are, where they've come from, and where they're going.”

"College MatchPoint helps steer and advise you from beginning to end of the college search and application process. They take what can be a very stressful time and break it down into smaller, manageable pieces. Bob, Lisa and their staff support their student clients, enabling them to find the best fit. You can trust that the process will work; it did for all 3 of my very different kids."
