Born and raised in San Francisco, Sally earned her Bachelor’s at Stanford University, where she studied Creative Writing and Religious Studies. After a brief stint living on the beach in Hawaii, she moved to Austin to attend graduate school at UT. Armed with a Master’s degree in English Literature, she then headed back to California, where she worked for an education start-up and taught high school English, all while maintaining her ten-year tutoring career.
