With applications for schools coming live as we speak, there are a few things we'd like to point out that can help make the difference between a stellar application and a sloppy one:
- Proofread your application before submission--this means every single field you typed in, not just the essay section. We are happy to do this with our students who work in the office to submit applications.
- Maximize those character counts--you accomplished great things in high school; make sure that you select the most important descriptors for each activity to highlight. Make use of every space in both the activity title and description fields on applications.
- Don't forget about demonstrated interest! Remember, colleges are keeping track of those emails and visits to campus--they want to feel the love. Not sure if you've demonstrated enough? We are here to help!
If you know someone with a rising senior who could benefit from our services, have them give us a call at College MatchPoint-there are still a few spaces available for our application-only package, and we are happy to help new students find their dream school.
